Dr. Aravind K is one of the well-known surgeon, professor and mentor in the department of Gastroenterology.
Dr. Aravind K studied his MBBS and MS in general surgery from Karnataka Institute of Medical Science which is considered as one of the best Medical Institute in India in the year of 2002.
In the year 1998 he started working as resident & postgraduate student of Gen Surgery at KIMS Hubli. Later started working as Lecturer/Assistant/Associate Professor in Department of Gen Surgery at KIMS Hubli between 2002 to July 2009. And then as a Senior Resident & Postdoctoral student in Surgical Gastroenterology from Aug 2009 to July 2012 at Bangalore Medical College & Research Institute, Bangalore. At the same time he has completed his M.Ch in Surgical Gastroenterology from Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute in the year 2012. While doing his M.Ch he has been trained in Minimal Access Surgery at Gem Hospital, Coimbatore in 2011. Later worked as Observership and Visiting Scholar to The Institute of Surgical Gastroenterology at Stanely Medical College, Chennai, Madras Medical College, Chennai and TATA Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. After that started working as Consultant Surgical Gastroenterologist at Vivekananda Hospital and Hubli Super Specialty Clinic, Hubli.Currently he is working as Associate Professor and HOD in the Department of Surgical Gastroenterology at Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences, Hubli since 2012.
Now he is involved in Teaching Post Graduate students of General Surgery, Undergraduate Students (MBBS) as well guiding for Post Graduate Students of MS General Surgery and RGUHS Examiner for MBBS.
He has presented and published many papers &journals.
